Hocus Pocus Comics Artist Search Complete

hpc-banner

Thank you to all the brilliant artists who submitted their work for our artist search! I’ve really enjoyed seeing the diverse art styles that have appeared in my inbox during this process. But, alas, we are thrilled to say that we have filled the position and we exclaim, “Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more!” as we enter the fray.¬†Thanks again to everyone who took the time to contact me. You can be certain I have filed your work away in our digital filing cabinet for future projects. And believe me, with our robust publishing schedule, we’re going to need some of you in the not-too-distant future!

Hocus Pocus Comics is moving forward! I’ve just submitted our first project to ComiXology, so now the waiting begins. I can’t wait to finally share the amazing books that we will be unleashing in the coming year. If you would like to get an insider sneak peek at what we’ll be releasing in the coming year, please become a PATRON to see exclusive Top Secret material before anyone else. Whether it’s $1 or $100 a month, it will all help us achieve our goals to make the multiverse’s greatest comics. So a big thank you to everyone who has already joined the cause, and I would encourage those who haven’t to become a part of our movement today!

Halloween Countdown Interview with Dr. Amy H. Sturgis

dwight-macpherson_051

I am thrilled to say that our dear friend and literary mentor, Dr. Amy H. Sturgis, invited me to be a part of her annual Halloween Countdown on her Eldritch-hobbit blog, Redecorating Middle-Earth in early Lovecraft!

Rebecca brought Amy into my life through her legendary Lord of the Rings PR adventures, and Amy and I became instant friends.¬†Her sincere friendship and support continues to be such a blessing to me and Rebecca as well. I am so honored to be a part of this year’s Halloween Fest that Amy painstakingly puts together every October!

Take a look around her blog– I am certain you will enjoy the spooky goodness!

Oh, and just a little tidbit of information: I will be launching a Kickstarter project in the not-so-distant future, so please be on the lookout! It is going to be epic! In the immortal words of John Wick, “Yeah, I’m thinking I’m back!”

For Your Halloween Season Viewing Pleasure, Part I

‘Tis the season for all things spooky!

So… I was going through my art files and I came across this comic short that I wrote for IDW Publishing’s Gene Simmons’ House of Horrors. The story features art and colors by German Torres and letters by Robbie Robbins. I think it’s pretty good, and I hope you will, too.

By the way, these pages belong to IDW Publishing. You do not have permission to steal–er–use them for your own wicked purposes.

Enjoy!

The Game is Afoot!

plottingweekend

It’s another working weekend here at MacPherson Manor. The scope of this project is so huge that we’ve bought several pieces of poster board for story plotting. We’re extremely excited and can’t wait to share more about it. But, for now, all we can say is that it’s going to be epic!

Can’t. Wait.
